Radisson Hotel Lenexa Overland Park

Claimed to be handicap accessible 1 grab bar in a high wall tub. 1 elevator 1 broken. Services available only on certain days. Room was old and dingy and no food except snacks

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Sure the rooms were clean, and the bed was satisfactory, but the A/C did NOT Work ANYWHERE in the hotel, our room sat at 72 and the lobby sat at 80+ (the outside temps topping 95 real feel over 100 this weekend did not make for an enjoyable stay). When you went to the lobby you immediately started dripping sweat. We asked the front desk to have the handyman check our room at 3pm when we returned from a trip out at 7pm, we were told it was fixed and it wasn't. Their only solution was a fan that pushed out ZERO air. When approaching the front desk for literally anything you were not greeted or welcome in fact the front desk employees were incredibly rude and short with you. They have ZERO supplies to make your stay more comfortable or should you have forgot anything (toothpaste, razor, toothbrush). I frequent hotels and have NEVER stayed in a hotel that didn't have those things on hand for guests. I was lied to by the staff when asked to speak to a manager was told he would be in on Sunday but in fact when I went to speak to him at check out he was NOT in and wouldn't return till the next day. I actually spoke to numerous other guests who had also complained about the rudeness of the staff, a/c not working and the subpar experience. Had there been an option to check out and go to another hotel we would have but all the hotels around us were sold out due to several LARGE sporting events in the area. I will never stay at this hotel again and I would advise everyone else against it until they can make some serious upgrades! Their picture are very dated and the hotel is run down in all area.

I would never stay at this hotel again!! From the moment we walked in the door it was a disappointment. It was storming when we arrived and by the time we checked into our room, there was water streaming in from the windows, pooling in the middle of the room. When I asked to be moved to another room, the front desk clerk added my room number to a list of other rooms with issues and I was told we would be given another room if the issue couldn't be fixed. The "fix" was to place towels all along the wall under the windows. The air conditioning in our room worked but there was no AC in common areas. The pool is very small and not nearly big enough for a property of this size. The exercise room? What a joke. A few weights, all over 20 lbs, no AC and so tiny that the treadmills were all jammed together. If we had not already paid for our room, we would have moved to another hotel within the first half hour. This is a very large, dated hotel that the owner is probably trying to restore. It is not fair to present this hotel as a safe, viable option for travellers in the condition it is in. If this is the standard acceptable to CHOICE Hotels, we will never stay in one of their properties again!

This was the most horrible experience I have ever had. We checked in to the hotel 11/8/2024. Upon entering the room it was cold so we attempted to adjust the thermostat. After enough time for the room to heat had passed, we contacted the front desk to let them know we had no heat. My husband subsequently went down to the front desk and was told we were lucky that we had no heat, but that they could offer us additional blankets. We were not even offered a different room! We asked to speak to the manager on multiple occasions, specifically that night and was told the manager wasn't available. We ended up getting a room across the street where we received true 5-star accommodations. We went back the next day and asked to speak with the manager and then were told they didn't work on the weekend. We were not staying until Monday to have that conversation and demand our money back. Unfortunately our credit card was charged and the dispute denied. Obviously the card company and the hotel don't think basic accommodations such a heat in the winter are priorities. Be wary of this Hotel and for that matter you credit card company should this happen to you and you attempt to file a dispute for services not rendered.

Acceptable but a bit dumpy hallways smell of pot and cigarettes. Inside is depressing. TV didn't work. They couldn't manage to clear any snow. Room is awkwardly missing furniture it's fine enough to sleep and for the price OK but I won't come back
